Given the importance of the words “I love you”, before offering your heart and telling your partner that you love him, you must first ask yourself if you’re both on the same wavelength and if you are indeed in a serious relationship.

After the first “I love you”, he must be aware that your relationship can completely change and  become more extensive than it was before declaring your love, be sure of your feelings because if it is not clear whether, your “I love you” could cause an embarrassing situation that you’d be hard to take, and you could raise expectations that could not be fulfilled later.

By cons, if you had an argument with your partner lately, you should definitely wait until the situation has calmed down. An “I love you” to resolve a conflict could be unwelcome in one hand and/or misinterpreted in another. Consider the state of mind of your partner as your declaration of love will be more successful if your partner feels good in his life and is relaxed.
